With the aim of preserving the vegetation and landscape that have long inspired the artist, the museum’s volume is excavated into the ground, remaining entirely hidden within the natural surroundings. The mural painted by the artist, transformed into an iconic element of the intervention, takes on volume to house research programs and generates an open courtyard that organizes the spaces and connects users to the landscape. This proposal reflects a sensitivity capable of integrating nature and art, creating a project that stands out in the field of contemporary museum design.
The use of exposed reinforced concrete cones, sculpted from the original volume, defines a unique space that responds to aesthetic, functional, and structural criteria. These elements optimize lighting, ventilation, and energy performance, aligning with the principles of sustainable architecture. This project represents an intervention that goes beyond construction, demonstrating the capacity to undertake high-impact cultural projects where design, efficiency, and respect for the environment come together.
