An isolated single-family home project with an outdoor pool located in the municipality of Atarfe
In the metropolitan area of Granada, located on a large plot, completely flat and populated with olive trees, the proposal is conceived as a precise and silent intervention in the agricultural landscape, establishing a direct dialogue with the horizontality of the land and the open views towards the Sierra Nevada.
The house is organized from a clear logic of implementation: a volume of clear geometry that rests on the land without altering its character, respecting the natural plot of the olive trees and reinforcing the visual continuity between architecture and landscape. The house is strategically oriented to frame distant views, optimize solar collection and generate outdoor spaces protected from the wind and incorporates the pool as a natural extension of domestic life and as a transition element between interior and exterior.
The project assumes conceptual premises based on structural clarity, economy of means, constructive precision and critical relationship with the context. CASA ATARFE does not seek to impose itself on the environment, but rather to build a spatial experience where light, materiality and emptiness take center stage. The interior spaces are planned as fluid sequences, with strategic openings that frame the landscape and allow the presence of Sierra Nevada to be an active part of daily life.
The materiality will respond to a combination of contemporary systems and reinterpreted vernacular references, favoring efficient, sustainable and long-lasting solutions. The house is conceived as a contemporary refuge in the agricultural landscape of Granada: an essential, open and bright architecture that transforms the spaciousness of the plot into a domestic experience linked to the territory.
