This project was born from the need to merge two apartments in a historic building. The solution emerged from addressing multiple needs while facing the impossibility of intervening in most of the pre-existing space.
By removing false ceilings, new livable spaces were created, and a custom-made furniture unit was integrated to house both the library and the kitchen, without altering the location of the original systems.
The result is a design that unifies the space and highlights the traces, scars, and structural layers from different periods, delivering a sensitive, contemporary, and respectful intervention.
