Urban Art and Material Reuse Project in Granada
This project is inspired by urban art, from graffiti to hip hop, which makes use of limited resources to generate art and develop new languages outside of hegemonic and elitist culture. The main design premise is to maximize cost efficiency through a study of economical construction systems and finishes, as well as a mapping of pre-existing elements in the space for reuse.
The catalog of glass panels on exterior and interior walls enabled a new layout by reusing these materials in a wall of exposed concrete blocks. This innovative and sustainable approach positions the architects and interior designers from Granada as references in architecture, interior design, and environmentally conscious renovation.
